April 17, 2020
Dear Students and Families,
We wish to thank you again for your continued efforts during this crisis. Together as a TEAM, though separated by necessity, we are maintaining focus on the education of our students and on providing essential services to you.
Governor Cuomo has announced the extension of New York State on PAUSE through May 15, 2020, which will keep all schools in New York State closed. Under this directive, all non-essential workers are to work from home and are required to maintain a 6 foot distance from others in public.
Governor Cuomo has also issued an Executive Order requiring all people in New York State to wear masks or face coverings in public beginning on Friday, April 17, 2020.
Crown Point Central School will continue to support these efforts to reduce exposure to the COVID-19 virus, and therefore all schools in our area will be closed through May 15, 2020. All services that schools have been providing during the closure – home instruction resources, as well as student meals and childcare for essential workers, if requested – will continue.
We know this is a hardship for all involved and we miss our students. However, we must all pull together to defeat this virus and must not let down our guard before it is safe to do so. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school as soon as it is safe to return.
Yours in Education,
Mrs. Brannock & Mrs. Celotti
